brazilian blowout vs. keratin treatments

Brazilian Blowout and Keratin treatments are two popular smoothing treatments that straighten the hair without damaging the hair follicles. Smoothing treatments concentrate on removing frizz, repairing damage, and improving the overall appearance of the hair.

Our Brazilian Blowout Super-Nutrient Complex and proprietary polymer system helps to improve the condition of the hair by creating a protective protein layer around the hair shaft and smoothing the cuticle. This allows the stylist to customize every treatment for every client to achieve a smooth and sleek result, or to keep the curl and lose the frizz.

Our products provide you with smooth, frizz-free, easy-to-manage hair that can be customized to fit your lifestyle. Whether you’re going for that smooth, sleek, straight look, or you want to keep your curl and just lose the frizz, you can achieve a result that’s perfect for you for up to 12 weeks. And with no waiting period, the treatment is finished at the salon so you can walk out and immediately go wash your hair, exercise, put it up in a stylish pony tail or clip, and just get back to life. We know you’re busy and we’ve got your hair in mind.

Keratin Treatments

Similar to Brazilian Blowout, Keratin treatments such as Keratin Complex are well-known and highly recommended by our professional stylists. The application process is extremely similar to that used by Brazilian Blowout, but there are a few important differences.

After having Keratin treatment applied to you hair, you will need to wear a cap for 20-30 minutes for the product to penetrate the hair shaft to improve results. Next, you will need to keep the product on your hair for three days before rinsing it, and the hair will have to remain completely flat or lasting impressions, or dents, might be made in your hair.

While the application process and chemicals used are similar, there are a few things that differentiate Brazilian Blowout vs Keratin treatment. Most Keratin products are extracted from sheep’s wool and, based on the feedback of users, the extracted proteins provide amazing results.

Keratin treatments are often preferred because of the alleged formaldehyde contained in the ingredients of the Brazilian Blowout. However, there are different Keratin Treatments, some Keratin Treatments does contain amounts of formaldehyde to aid in the bonding process, some don’t. On the other hand, the Keratin Treatments application process is however more cumbersome and requires three days while avoiding all moisture that could leave an impression on your hair.

Brazilian Blowout vs Keratin treatment is something that many women searching for the best way to keep their hair silky and smooth are interested in researching. While both products promise amazing results, they do have their downsides.
